Nickelback's Chad Kroeger has confessed he has had to tame his wandering eye since becoming engaged to Avril Lavigne.
The Canadian rocker - who once famously described himself as a "walking penis" to Playboy magazine - got engaged to Avril, 28, this summer after dating for several months and has vowed to resist his groupies.

Chad told Men's Health magazine: "I don't think my libido has changed. I just think that my Rolodex has been confiscated. And I'm OK with that."

The 37-year-old musician also revealed fiancee Avril is not a fan of his music, and he is actually quite relieved, because he doesn't want her to hear the racy lyrics to his songs.

Chad said: "If a naughty Nickelback song came on, my fiancee would probably ask who it was. She'd be like, 'Who's this? This is good. I like it.

"I'm terrified that some day she's going to listen to some of the things I've written, and I'm going to have some explaining to do.

"There's going to be a whole question-and-answer period following that one."

Chad Kroeger impressed by Avril's range

Chad Kroeger says working with fiancee Avril Lavigne is 'like taking a bazooka to a knife fight!' because she has an amazing vocal range.

The Nickelback singer worked with the 'What The Hell' singer on tracks for her fifth album - a relationship that proved so fruitful it has led to them becoming engaged - and was blown away by her vocal ability from the start.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: 'It's easier to write for somebody who has got a vocal range like she's got. It's ridiculous how high she can go. She just opens up her throat and it goes higher and higher - and it's amazing, it's like taking a bazooka to a knife fight!'

Chad, 37, also said he had to approach writing with Avril, 28, in a different way to how he would with his rock group, but in the studio he mostly contributed lyrics.

He added: 'Obviously with her I wasn't going to tune the guitars down and put on as much distortion as possible.

'You start acoustically, with a piano, and you start moving that way. When I'm with her, I'm mostly the lyric guy, she does a lot of the melody and I'll help out with lyrics and chord progressions wherever I can.'

Какое название у вашей совместной с Чедом песни?
- Let Me Go, но я еще не уверена, что это окончательное название, потому что мы до сих пор еще вносим изменения в альбом

Вы уже назначили дату своей свадьбы?
-Да, но я не могу сказать *смеется*

А что насчет свадебного платья?
-Все что я могу сказать – это то, что оно очень отличается от моего предыдущего

У тебя есть любимая модная вещь?
-В последнее время я подсела на кожаные куртки и ношу их очень часто

Какая твоя любимая татуировка?
-Та, которая набита у меня на ребрах, нехорошее слово (смеется и показывает тату Fuck). И у меня есть татуировка Fuck you на среднем пальце. Ее было очень сложно делать, и к тому же процесс заживления проходил очень медленно из-за движения пальцев

В чем отличие между твоим первым альбомом и последним?
-Многие люди говорят, что теперь мой голос более сильный и более взрослый. Так и есть в принципе, потому что прошло уже больше десяти лет

Ты была фанатом Никельбэк до того, как начала работать с Чедом?
- Чуть-чуть, но когда мы познакомились в студии, у меня было такое ощущение, что я только-только начинаю его узнавать по-настоящему. И первое, что я ему сказала при встрече, было: «ОМГ! Ты постригся?» (смеется). Я думала, что у него по-прежнему длинные волосы
